“Sing A Long OPEN MIC” – Fridays at 14:00
On Zoom
Hey there all you crooners. pickers, strummers, karaoke mavens or just plain listeners. We are looking for you.
Each Friday afternoon at 2 PM we will have a sing a long Zoom open mike where you and others can sing or play your hearts out.
If you sing Sinatra in the shower or air guitar to Led Zeppelin on You tube, we want to hear you perform live from Zoomland. Talent is not required, even if the last time you sang anything was at your bar mitzvah, everyone is welcome,
We know that there are many of you with a variety of talent just waiting to “let it all hang out”. So here is your big chance at stardom
We want all of our members to experience the joys of listening, sharing and encouraging communication through our own love of music.
Please remember that we will not pass judgement on your musical abilities, and you don’t even have to pass an audition. All we require is a bit of Chutzpah and an appreciation for sharing some of your favorite tunes and memories with others. At the end of the day, you will be rewarded with an amazing experience hearing your fellow club members.
You will not be disappointed

WRITERS WORKSHOP – Fridays
9:30 – 12:00
On Zoom
The CSLMC Writers Workshop Philosophy
The CSLMC Writers Workshop is committed to being inclusive. Our philosophy is a simple one: every person is a writer and every person deserves a safe and comfortable environment in which to experiment, learn and develop the writing craft. We are a supportive group and do not worry about how good our writing is, not think about whether it is publishable, but we just write. Our creativity begins with experiential playfulness. We share our existential experiences writing poetry or prose.
We allow the words and images, thoughts and ideas to free flow onto the page without criticism, judgement or censorship. We all write without concern about editing, sentence structure, and punctuation. We enjoy both the creativity and spontaneity of our thoughts, feelings and emotions. With the non judgemental group structure we find that we can celebrate each person’s unique voice.
Whether describing a life trauma, a joyful event or a frivolous experience we mine the images and words embedded in us that are waiting to emerge. We tap into the inner light of our own creativity.
We meet on Friday from 10 AM to noon in the Seniors Lounge of the ACC.
Now on Zoom.
In “normal times” Copies of our writing were distributed to every participant for respectful discussion and reinforcement.
Stay Healthy & Safe

Mentor Outreach

As previously announced, we have now reached the first phase in the development of our program, wherein we have sufficient number of mentors in various fields of endeavor, to assist potential mentees.
The next phase in our plan is the outreaching to young people in order that they may take advantage of our program.
To this end we invite you to suggest our program to individuals and organizations to whom you may be in contact with.
These may include religious, social and educational institutions, as well as members of your family. (i.e. grandchildren).
Please feel free to discuss this matter (on a confidential basis) with any member of our committee.
